GeekWire Article Introduces TSI as “New Way of Doing Business”
GeekWire Impact Series reporter Lisa Stiffler sat down with Jens Molbak in early April to discuss Jens’ journey from Coinstar to the creation of NewImpact, a 501(c)(3) dedicated to spreading the concept of Tri-Sector Innovation (TSI).
In the GeekWire article, Jens introduces Tri-Sector Innovation as a new way to solve problems, by identifying the ample existing resources currently siloed within their respective sectors, and repurposing and realigning those resources in a mindful way that harnesses the self-interests of all three sectors. In tri-sector business models, each sector both contributes to and benefits from the model.
“You can treat everyone as a customer, but oftentimes it’s much better to really understand what they’re trying to do and work alongside of them, and kind of co-accomplish some of the goals. That’s this alignment piece that we talk a lot about.”
